there is a wireless connection set up in my home for 2 laptops. is there a way to get a wireless connection set up on my desktop computer as well? I use windows xp home. if i can do this how do i go about it?

you need a wireless networking card for your computer, should come with any software you need

yes you can make any pc or laptop wireless all you need is a wireless adapter and an access point if you already have wireless in your house you have the access point now you just need the adapter for your pc
its real simple to set up most adapters just plug into your usb port
install the software that comes with it
when you are done you will see the wireless connection icon in your tray(the bottom right by the clock) double click on that then choose view available networks find yours in the list if there is a list there might only be yours click on it and you should be good to go

If you have a spare slot, get a PCI wireless card for your computer. Otherwise get a USB one. Preferably the same brand as your laptop wireless cards. Install, give it your wireless network info, surf.
