On the surface it sounds like you two aren't getting enough alone time with each other. You two need to make time to just relax and enjoy being together. Instead you come together for a short amount of time with so much going on that every little issue is magnified. You need to figure out a way to schedule time to just be alone together as adults and reconnect. Some thing as simple as a walk around the block while holding hands can do wonders to relax a couple and help them reconnect.

I believe he has an identity crisis and he is very insecure about himself. Two good reasons to take your frustrations out on somebody and that somebody should be close to him. Of course it is the wife who has to take the brunt of it.

Keep loving him and try to find out what is bothering him. It could be very minor and you'll "straighten" him out in a hurry. Otherwise you'll need professional help.

Use those four words that send a chill up the back of the person hearing them, "WE HAVE TO TALK". Then do just that; get an older mature person to act as a mediator if necessary; but get the message across that he has to grow up a little.
