Not only libraries, but schools take old books too. So do places like the Salvation Army (who would sell them to run places like soup kitchens) or after school clubs (like the boys and girls club). Church groups often times hold rummage sales and will come and pick up donation, so calling around to some local groups to see if they are getting ready for something like that may be another option.
