America is one big melting pot anyway. There are always going to be ignorant people that say stupid things. But honestly English people are not the country America is worried about right now..It is all the illegal Mexicans coming over here stealing our rights as Americans. But as far as english people go you guys are welcome here. Out of curiosity what do English people think of Americans?

I'm with the others ... no definite opinion really. I would say most Americans love the accent. Stereotypically, English are viewed as a bit pompous--not that it is necessarily true. I am an American who studied abroad in England (and loved it) a couple of years ago, and I noticed that many of the people I met were more slow to warm up ... perhaps due to cultural differences, perhaps due to individual differences?? Personally, I think the English are more proper than most Americans.
Also, I noticed that the English bullied people more than what I was used to. I have also noticed this in English movies as well--like in "About a Boy" (poor Marcus) and "Green Street Hooligans." Maybe this is not accurate, but this is what I observed.
I also noticed that many English people are very opinionated, and sometimes their opinions were not based on facts. I think Americans try to get the fact straight more so than to try to formulate opinions. There are pros and cons to both.
I found that many people I met in England stereotyped Americans to be fat. Yes, I suppose we can't hide the truth that there are obese people that eat McDonalds in the U.S., but there are probably more people who try to eat good, healthy food and work out all the time. Me being one of them.
Well I think this is long enough!

I've known a dozen limeys, and I have to admit they were among the funniest and wittiest people I've ever met. One of them, a young woman working on an American military installation in Berlin, was without a doubt the sexiest, most attractive woman I've met in sixty years.
I found both genders to be far less reserved than I'd been led to expect. I learned that when a Brit pronounces you a friend, you can depend on that person to remain a true friend. Y'all don't hand out that gift casually - in other words, you don't suffer fools gladly. That's probably where we Yanks got the idea Brits are snooty.
We do have differences, certainly. I can't say I'm particularly impressed with English cusine (nor with French, for that matter) and I've noticed you are not impressed with our inability to handle our adult beverages. You seem not to mind standing in line for hours for some service or another, but standing on que drives us batty. I'm sure I could come up with more, but why? I've been to the UK twice - and it's a bit crowded for me, and your summers a bit damp. I'm a bit old for the wildest of London night life, but that wouldn't prevent me from enjoying myself immensely should I ever have opportunity to return.

I LOVE the accents!!!! They are the best. I actually wanted to visit England. I think that since my family orginally came from Europe it would be nice to get back to my roots so to speak.
I think some words you have are hilarious, like the loo, or bloody hell, all that stuff. I love Monty Python, especially the Grail.
I would love to visit some day. Maybe when I hit lotto...

I love you guys. I think Brits like Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan give the rest of you a bad rap as far as America sees you.

English accents rock. They are so sexy.
Just make the people on TV do something about the teeth.

I have met people here on vacation that are from England and my impression is they are pompous @ssholes. Then on the other hand I have met and worked with people from England who have moved here and live here that are Great people to have around. My experiences anyways.
