I saw the movie last night at the 10 pm screening.

Over all, I would say that the movie was pretty mediocre. It was a mixture of a 70's disaster movie, a creepy horror movie and some kind of down in the 'hood movie. The supporting actors were excellent and there were a few good scenes mixed in with the predictable action format. The editing was really bad; It felt like two movies sewn together.

The snakes were mostly just CGI. I was expecting more comedy. It seemed as though the producers tried to make an adult movie out of a more childish, teenager trashy movie because all of the comedy consisted of CGI snakes biting people in places that you would really hate to be bitten. (by a snake anyway)

Now, as much as many people find the idea laughable... no wait, as much as EVERYONE finds the idea laughable, it is still that kind of movie that peaks interest. Alright, where does that leave you?
You saw the trailers, you saw the commercials. There are movies made to been seen on the big screen (War of the worlds, Mission impossible 3, Day after tomorrow, yada yada) and this is one of those movies. It is all about the special effects. Unless you have a great home theatre system, then you are much better off going to watch the movie in the theatres for that special movie magic.

REMEMBER, 1 foot snake on T.V = laughable, 20 foot Samuel L. Jackson on the big screen = One bad motha....

Well, if you count the money you're gonna spend on popcorn and drinks plus the cost of the movie ticket, it's gonna add up to more than ten bucks. I've heard it's pretty good, but haven't seen it myself. I don't want to chance it being a mediocre movie, and wasting money when I can wait two months and rent it for four bucks.

Just my opinion, though}

Is any movie worth ten bucks? Wait till it's on video and rent it, unless you really can't wait that long.

You really should go and see for yourself. Everyone will have a different opinion on a movie. You could get all yes answer's. Decide to go and not like it. I have not seen it myself. But i bet alot of snake lovers will.
Good luck on your decision.
