That would be like romanticizing an event which never really happened although it is an interesting but superficial thesis. When historians set the stage for their characters some tend to picture Natives as ecological saints while others fifty years back, attempted to protray them as barbaric and that they were saved by "Western acculturation and assimilation" It depends whether or not you believe in either one of those politically incorrect statements and if you think about it political correctness is just a general consensous of a particular event, which might be more of a convience of truth

bodhisattava,

A revisit to JFK's murder would just sensationalize his assassination even further, bringing more hype and conspiracy theories that aren't needed, plus its not a historical event that ecompassed global, economic, and wide-reaching political implications

Try something on the european settlement of the Western United States, from a Native American viewpoint. How The West was Lost, rather than the usual How the West was Won. That should make for an interesting thesis.

How about arguing the point that what Hitler was trying to do is happening as the moment in Europe. Not meaning the destruction of Jews and blacks and gypsies as he sought out to do in the second world war but the uniting of Europe under on flag.
