If given a choice of what colour trousers to wear to school, few boys seem to choose grey over navy or black. What motivates those who choose grey to choose it?

Many parents follow school rulings of uniform. The parents are less likely to buy black or navy if the school asks for grey. They only choose grey to avoid confrontation with the schools rules. Other parents choose black or navy either because they havent read the rules or they want the child to look ok. Grey trousers fade more as well unlike black. I perfer black because it stands out more.

Going back in time, after World War II, everything was rationed
until 1951. Food, clothing, the lot. And grey was more available
to find so perhaps it became a habit. A dark grey suit is almost
a uniform in the City (London) and Navy blue used mainly as
a more formal nightly meeting, and black is full formal. These
standards may not be your choice, but they have become some
kind of the "British way of Dressing".

Light grey or dark? Maybe they are just tired of black and navy. People who choose light grey must want to stand out a bit, and they're not afraid of foodstains, lol.

grey is a very boring colour thats why people dont like wearing grey as it denotes them as being boring

my son starts school on monday and i had to buy him grey trousers as part of his uniform, he looks so cute in them its bringing a tear to my eye just thinking of it.

my self i would choose black. don't know or uderstand why people would pick grey

they have no sense of fashion probably. haha. or they just want to be different. i would go for one of each. but if i had to choose i'd take black, definitely.
