depends on the dose of the valium pill youre 'breaking in half.'

if you're breaking up a 10mg pill, i would say no way because youll be spaced out on 5 mg. but if youre breaking a 2mg pill in half and only taking 1mg, it might help to take the edge off but not make you spacey. so look at the dose of the valium pill you have and if youre taking 1-2 mg then you may be ok - any more than that and you may have a problem. i would try taking 1-2mg the day before the interview to see how it affects you and if it makes you loopy, and if not, then i would try that. because if it came to the morning of the interview and you took 1-2mg and you were loopy from that small amount then again, you have a problem.

Breaking a pill in half and then half again would give you 1/4 NOT 1/21! Have you taken that amount of the medication before? Do you know how it effects you? Will you be taking a drug test at the interview? These are all important questions to think about.

You break a tablet in two, twice, and expect to get 1/21 of a valium tablet?

I hope you're not interviewing for a job that requires math skills.

Calm down. Breathe. You are offering these people your service and time. You are a valuable person. They will be lucky to have you on board. If not, then there is something better waiting for you elsewhere and it wasn't meant to be. You know they say people go through 18 jobs in life before they find their "niche in life" sometimes so, don't be so hard on yourself. You're getting there. If it will make you feel better take the 1/4 Valium before you go. That is why your Dr. prescribed them to you. They don't give those out like candy, ya know.

It's worth noting that breaking a tablet in half and then in half again would be 1/4 of the tablet, not 1/21. Anyway, don't expect a druggie like me to criticize you for using a miniscule amount of a drug for a constructive purpose.

No, it's not okay. Learn to be confident in yourself rather than relying upon pharmaceuticals.

Consider you'll immediately be in violation of the company's drug policy, even before getting hired? Also, if you were to be asked anything in this regard you'd either have to lie on your first interview (bad) or disclose you can't deal with the relatively minor tension of the interview without relying upon foreign substances (worse).

Hate to be so blunt, I really do, but the real solution is "Get a Grip".

Good luck with the (unmedicated) interview. Be confident and nail it.

Why are you breaking the pill in half? The biggest valium tab is only 10mg. That's barely enough to make you yawn.
