We have Rose of Sharon bushes that have some white and some verying shades of pink flowers. Is that normal?

Yes, the soil trace minerals determine the colour(it isn't realy a rose)

I have everything from white and pink to majenta. Our neighbor is going to give us a shoot from her white one as soon as possible I can't wait!
