I've been to SA.
You have to remember that our religions are vastly different and will never allow them, as a nation, to be our "friends". They are also only 35 or so years past a poor, nomadic lifestyle that was ruled by individual clan heads, so there will never be consensus amongst the tribes. As long as the Sauds are in power we have as close to a friendship as is possible.
Don't get fooled into thinking that all Muslims are terrorists - any more than all Christians are skin heads... True Muslims are dedicated to peace as are true Christians.
Individually, I found them to be pretty fine people. If you respect their customs and treat them honestly and with candor, you can make friends that will remain with you for a lifetime.
I certainly did... it's been over 15 years since I was over there and I still correspond regularly with people that befriended me when I was there.

i have been there 2 every country has its own customs and traditions like any other ppl they have gd& bad things
but u cant say they r enemies coz they r muslims they r not the only 1s
and their gov ""needs'' friendship of USA so they fightin terror and terrorists ..etc.......
they r both have common benifits by satisfayin each other
soo it s not about friendship anymore
