It seems just as easy to use the term employee.

Hmmm, I've been called staff, worker, employee, but not resource. I'd be flattered if my boss thought I was resourceful.
I guess when talking about all the work elements (building, tools, staff) then the staff is a resource. Sounds kind of depersonalizing.

i have come to terms with being viewed as "replacable"

as far as a resource...

eh. whatever. i am still getting paid. they can call me whatever.
