yes, they do carry over. when they gave me $10 a month(which was an insult by the way), they told me to save them up for a couple of months so that i would be able to buy more food at one time. but, then they sent me a letter stating that i hadnt spent any of my benefits. if found with my local DFS office that they dont keep very good track of things.

i would also like to add that people answering your question are aweful quick to judge. if you are not sitting on a platform and banging a gavel, then you have no right to judge anyone else.

dont let the "haters" make you feel bad about yourself or your situation. you do what you know is best!

Are they the actual paper one's or on the ATM Debit card thing?

The debit cards one's expire - the paper coupon one's do not.

I would suggest focusing on making your self a viable candidate for a job, and then you don't have to worry about anything like whether or not they expire. You would have cash and that never expires.

Good luck,

I work for the state and I can tell you that you won't loose them unless its time for you to recertify and you don't otherwise they just carry over.

hey, instead of wasting time at yahoo answers, why not look for a job, or a better job if you already have one, and then you won't have to worry about your food stamps expiring!

why don't you just call your local office and talk to who ever is handling your foodstamps.
