I have Acura MDX 2003. When I apply brakes while turning when coming down the slopes, it makes skidding noise even at low speed of 10 MPH. I would like to know what could be the problem and which part I need to replace. Please advice.

Most brake pads have a piece of metal that sticks out to let you know when the pads have worn thin. Check them and see if they need replaced.

Your brake pads might be worn to the point of grinding, or you might have aggressive metallic brake pads which make more noise than Ceramics. I would pull the wheels and look at the pads and rotors. If the rotors are scored and pads are worn, you need a brake job pronto.

Uh, when was the last time you changed your brake pads???? My guess is never...... Well That noise is the indicator telling you there is very little pad left. It makes a squeal when pads are too low.

You probably need pads. Your rotors may be ok if it is only 3 years old... unless you have tons of miles.
