My right wrist is very swollen and painful. What do I do for the swelling? Do I put ice on it, or put heat on it? I am not sure.
I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist and it hurts a lot.

Ice reduces swelling, heat increases it. You can buy gel ice packs at the grocery store and keep them in the freezer. Ice for 15 minutes (until your wrist goes numb) every couple of hours.

you maybe have to go to a doctor. my friend has to and they didn't do surgery but she goes to a pain clinic and they give her an epidural shot and pain pill and she says that help her. they will not do surgery unless you are 7 or more on the ex rays.
you might look it up on your computer under carpal tunnel. they have some things that you can do.Hope you feel better soon.

first of all, you should lay off the computer for a while....you should use ice first to get rid of the swelling, then alternate with heat later....but ice will get rid of the swelling first

This site recommends taking an anti-inflammatory:

Several of my family members got long-term relief from taking vitamin B6.

I found mostly rest, stopping doing whatever causes it, and wearing a wrist splint to keep in immobile helped me.
