well to do it yourself isnt hard. average pads are 12 bucks,rotors 25 each. rear shoes 12 bucks each drums depends if you get them turned 10 bucks each new ones 20 bucks each the rest is profit for the boys who got to buy tools and get dirty and and have the knowledge to do the brakes you can drive away with and trust your life on.plus your calipers if you really need them and brake fluid

That depends on what needs replaced, and if you are taking to a shop or doing it yourself/or friend doing it. Pads range from 20 to 100 dollars per axle, If your rotors need turned it is normally 15 to 25 dollars per rotor. New rotors can be 60 to150 dollars. Most garages charge 60 to 80 dollars per hour in the Midwest. Just call around to the garages and ask. The longer you drive on bad brakes the more damage you will do to the rotors, and chance an accident. Get it fixed quick.

A reputable shop will charge anywhere from $150 to $395 to do the job. It all depends on what is replaced and changed.

$100 per axle plus parts is fair but good luck.
Discs are much easier to work on so if your stuff is not ground to the center of the earth and you have at least front disc I would shop around but you don't want to skimp when it come to stopping your car. Most of the time it is pretty important .

dont know where your at here in virginia i own a shop i charge 125 for all four wheels
