If ever there was a reason to bring back the Death Sentence David Morris is it. I cried my eyes out when i read what he did to that family. I've had kids run to me screaming with nothing more than a slight scratch, howling like they're dying. Imagine they're anguish with a fully grown man, sorry animal, hitting them with a pole over and over again. Not bad enough he bludgeoned his ex and her mother to death, i just can't comprehend how anyone could do such a thing to a lovely child. This piece of vermin should not breath Gods freshair for a second longer. The Judge says he will never be set free. What about 20 years ahead when some do-gooder decides it violates his human rights to lock him up forever. I BEG any inmate, prison officer who comes into contact with this piece of ****, beat the daylights out of him every chance you get. I've never loathed anyone so much, God only knows what the Family members are going through. Hang him high! Yes or no?

NO. An eye for an eye does not bring closure. It is fundamentally wrong.

In America where the death penalty is used, it often costs more to execute someone than to give them life without parole (due to legal costs, appeals, etc).

People think that prison is a soft option. It is not. Once you are dead, that's it, its over with. Can you imagine being locked up forever? Which is truly worse.

As for your use of God as justification for the death penalty, that is wrong. I am in no way religious, but I believe that God and Jesus were all about forgiveness and accepting their fellow man.

David Morris is obviously evil, but he is also ill. He needs help.

As for my kids, yes I worry about them, but hanging every bad person is not the answer. If you did that, where would you draw the line? A murderer? Someone who knocks a kid over who has run out in front of him and he couldn't break in time? They have both killed a child after all.

However, I do agree with what you say about the human rights act, that is why they intend to scrap it.
