no, but if it did there would be tax on it anyway so it would end up costing more than a penny in the end.

I am going to say no since tax is added on everything so something would have to be priced under a penny for it to cost a penny. Actually a penny is even worth more than a penny because of the cost it takes to make them.

Well, I guess not but I remember seeing not too long ago at Meijers a kid could ride one of the little horseys (not sure how to spell), you know the ones that play music and rock back and forth, for a penny. I'm pretty sure that it cost more than a penny for the electricity to run the thing but it was pretty cool to see that they weren't charging you an arm and a leg.

A penny costs more to make than a penny is worth
The rumor is that we are just going to do away with the penny, but seriously, how will they ever keep jack in the box tacos 2 for less than a buck?

i couldn't think of anything that still costs a penny until i read some of the answers here...and then it occured to me that the only thing IS the penny stamp! tootsie rolls are not a penny anymore where i live...i don't frequent casinos and have not seen a penny gumball machine in years!

Yes....
Anything can cost a penny if you find a person willing to give you that thing in return. I can sell you my car for a penny if I want to, so that means my car is worth a penny. However you may turn around and sell it for $19,000.
