How fitting is your name? Does a name become an unfortunate label? Sometimes names become associated with other things or people that may not necessarily represent you. Perhaps there should be different names for different stages of life?

I never liked my name. I think it is pompous and grandmotherly, when I am simple and young (at heart). But how could my parents know? Maybe they wanted a pompous and grandmotherly daughter from the start?
Yes, I think it would be cool to have a name according to your moment in life. Some mornings I really feel "Charlize", some others "Sigmund" or "Rumplestilstkin" would do better.
Or perhaps when I become a grandmother I will learn to like my name.

My name is Emma and i feel it suits me to a certain extent. I'm not an Elizabethean English woman, but hey I'm unique and like to have fun so I guess my name represents that. Names are confusing however because you may know someone with the name Amanda who is sweet, kind, and honest, a friend to everyone. You could also know a girl, by the same name, who constantly degrades others, lies and hurts others for enjoyment. How do the two names suit each varied girl?

I think that only happens with the 'trendy'names. The good old traditional names are still around for a reason. Trendy female names can leave the impression that the woman is not too intelligent. Strong, traditional male names usually suit the man. Perhaps, they become like their name sake.

My name is Bliss, no kidding. Strangly enough though, this name fits me very well. I'm bright, friendly, insightful, compassionate and kind. There are days where it's hard to get out bed and feel blissful, but as the day goes on, I fall into my natural happiness. People recongize me by this name as more than a name. It's a state of being for me.

My name is Stephanie. It doesn't really suit me all that much, I think of princesses and pretty people when I think of the name. I'm far from that. I do like how it is spelled though. I would cry if it was Stefani or some variation like that. I'm not sure why but I like the ph = f thing.

My name is unique, and so am I. I would hate to have a common name like everyone else.

I have always liked having a name that made me feel special.

Funny, my name means two different things in two different languages. The Irish name "Morgan" means "sea dweller" which is funny because I have a water phobia (I have an irrational fear of drowning). In German it means "Morning" which is much more fitting.

Since I discarded my old name and adopted a new one, I have never had cause to regret it. Yes, my current name is a pretty good representation of myself. Thank you! ( :
