I think this is something Freud made up, maybe it was wishful thinking on his part. I don't see much evidence for it in the real world. I do think penis envy exists in men, however, from the time boys are first strutting around the locker room, worrying about whether theirs is big enough to measure up to others.

what men classify as penis envy is actually being mad because women STILL don't get equal pay for the same job and are STILL discriminated against when applying for say a construction truck driving job

Good lord, no. Although I think a lot of men have womb envy. In that they are "threatened" by the miracles of a woman's body..

It doesn't mean that women want one. What it means, is women envy men's dominance or assertiveness/aggressiveness, physical strength etc..ALL females, I mean 100%, have a degree of contrmpt for males, theh harbor deep seated hostility towards us. I don't care how much they love us, they all want to get in the little " shot" at our manhood. Penis envy explains why women laughed at a poor guy's penis being cut off and put in the disposal...they literally cheered, joked etc..that latent hostility was displayed for the world. I'm speaking of a show called the talk, WHER there was great joy about the poor guy, who now is destroyed, simply for wanting to divorce his psycho wife. Court proved he never abused her in any way, but she did get life sentence...AH, JUSTICE! ALL women hide that little jealousy against our masculinity. NO, THEY DONT WANT PENISES, but, they really don't want us having them either. FACE IT, the phallic symbol, represents power , strength, dominance etc...women envy our strength, the want to rid us of our genitalia, or at least hit, or hurt us a little so as to "keep us in line" they feel it demonstrates a chance to feel dominance over us...the penis is a source of female resentment....they feel inferior because of physical strength. I know the the testicles are the true source of strength hormone, but it's the externalness of the penis, it is a penetrator, they feel it " violates" because it penetrates them during sex. My wife loves me, loves sex, but in the deep recesses of Ter mind, as in ALL women, there is a desire to give us a little shot to our ego (our manhood) just to humble us, and boost them. Why else is there so many women that either kick a man between the legs fir any, or no reason? I have seen countless women on videos say they love kicking guys in the testicles, the laugh, they have fun of our reaction, the collapsing the curling up etc. I've heard them say that it gives them a feeling if power, and how they love doing it. They say that men are always strutting around like they are strong etc, and it's fun to see how it us so easy to just hit us there and down we go. PENIS ENVY? Absolutely DOES EXIST, BUT NOT AS YOU ALL THINK. REPEAT...WOMEN DO NOT, WANT A PENIS..NO WAY, BUT THEY ENVY THE POWER IT IMPLIES..THEY HAVE TO HURT US, OR LAUGH AT OUT GENITAL PAIN, MAKES THEM FEEL EMPOWERED. THE ALL (100%) RESENT US A LITTLE, AND ARE SUPRESSING ANGER TOWARDS ALL MALES.

"Penis Envy" is a term coined by Sigmund Freud that describes women's desire to become like men so that they can go into the work world and be of egalitarian with the men.
However, many theorists in the Criminology field argue that because women are able to be decitful through the acts of sex, they would be able to commit more crimes through employment.

That's one of the things Freud gave us that is greatly dismissed today. He had a lot of REALLY whacked out stuff; it's just that he had a couple really good ideas in there too.

i think penis envy is when a man is insecure about his endowment & wishes he was bigger or longer or both..therefore he envy's others with bigger penis's
