Is it possible to do without the cd somehow? im not sure if i have it.

i dont seem to have any recovery discs.. is there someplace i can get them?

yes the operating system was preinstalled.. so i do what at start up to get to that factory setting.. f8 or so?

First, make sure you have all of your files saved if you need them. Pics, vids, letters, emails, etc.

Then get your Recovery disk. If you have no recovery disk then it might say System disk. Usually, there will be 2, 3, 4, or more disks and they will be maked as 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.

It depends. If you purchased the CPU with pre-installed operating system, then it's not necessary. You'll find some functioned key while booting process indicating Factory default setting. If not preinstalled, Yes you need CD.

No, You cann't buy it but you could format erace every thing on your computer then install operating system and all the programs if you have them one by one but if do not have them do not format you will lose every thing.

Setting the CPU would be done in the BIOS!
And you better know what you are doing!
Which since you ask the question, you obviously don't.

no there is not and dont try anything to do it your self you need to take it some were to get fixed
