First of all should it matter how big your brides maid is? I mean you chose her for a reason you wanted her in your wedding for who she is not what size she is right? I think that it would be in poor taste to ask this. I am a plus size woman and I have been in the position twice and let me tell you one of those times hurt so bad that I couldnt concentrate on the wedding because I felt so self-conscious. I felt like everyone was watching me and that I looked like I was the worse looking thing alive. I know that everyone was looking at the bride but I felt horrible. The other time I talked to the bride and we decided to find a dress that fit perfectly and accentuated my good points. When I stood up there that time I felt good about myself and felt beautiful. I think that maybe you should find a dress that fits her body. It is out there I promise and the end result will be one that both you and the bridesmaid will feel proud about. I hope this helps.

I have to warn you, a lot of people will give you crap for asking this question. I realize you might be uncomfortable when all of your bridesmaids don't "match." However, you have to take into consideration that it is not your place to ask this of another person under any circumstances. Because A) no one likes the fact that they are overweight. They don't want to be reminded of that from a friend and B) If they could or would lose the weight, they would've already done so for THEMSELVES.
Choose the dresses you want. If the maid you in question is uncomfortablt wearing it in public, she will tell you and decline to serve in the wedding party, something she was only doing as a curtesy to you-no one likes being in weddings. You also need to take into consideration that losing your friend over your wedding would be a pretty stupid move. So it might serve you best to forget you even have this issue to begin with.

How about getting bridesmaid dresses in different styles, ones that flatter everyones body. David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo have two peice dresses that have different styles. I was 81/2 months preg. in my bf wedding and it would have been alot easier to just let me have a dress in a different style but the same color. I ended up paying over $300 for the dress with alterrations. Try davidsbridal.com or alfredangelo.com It shouldn't matter what size someone is you can make everyone look beautiful!!!

one million. it truly is as a lot as what your Bridesmaid's positioned on on the day of your wedding ceremony. 2. Are you particular she needs to flow? It feels like she would not. i might want to call her and verify that she certainly must be in touch interior the marriage. Ask for an worry-free answer and tell her that you received't take offence if she would not. It feels like you're after a Bridesmaid who's supportive and enthusiastic about your day. If she's not behaving that way then it will be staggering to settle for that . you won't be able to rigidity her to experience that way. it truly is a shame yet i have heard lots of circumstances of females being this way about being Bridesmaid. some are jealous, some are lazy acquaintances, some are only undeniable puzzling. it truly is staggering to provide them the alternative to back out.

obviously you chose this girl to be a bridesmaid because she was very close to you. Unless her weight is causing her health problems there is no reason for you to tell her to slim down, that is her own right to choose and discover for herself. If you were not happy with her weight you should have never asked her to be a bridesmaid. I would have knew that the woman I chose as a bridesmaid needed a bigger size or style when I asked her. This is your problem if you already asked her (to be a bridesmaid) to find a dress that fits her proportionally

If you ask your bridesmaid to slim down for the wedding then you arent a very good friend. You are bridzilla! You should take the heaviest girl shopping for the bridesmaid dress. If it looks good on her then it will look good on everyone. Dont be mean and tell her to lose weight.

Oh my goodness... if you care about her enough to have her in your wedding then you shouldn't care this much about her size. If you can't find a dress that is flattering for all of your bridesmaids then maybe consider letting them each pick a different style in the same color. That way everyone can pick what is best for their body types. I've seen it done and it looks great. That is very popular and in style right now, also.

If you care enough for this woman to be your bridesman, why would you make such a self-centered demand? Now, it is truly in anyone's best interest who is overweight, to lose weight. However, losing weight just for your wedding, is not enough of an incentive. You should be considerate and truly go with a dress that works for her. It could turn out pretty nice, for each bridesmaid's dress to be a little different in a way that's flattering for all their body styles and comfort zones. Just be consistent in color and level or formality (tea length, formal, semi-formal, after six, etc.)

If you value your relationship with this women, I would simply pick a style that goes with her body type. Go to the bridal store b4hand and explain to your consultant the issue. She should know how to tactfully direct you and your bridesmaid to the right style. I am overweight and I choose an empire style dress as my wedding gown, my bridesmaid choose an a-line and we both looked beautiful.

Bridesmaids are chosen because they are close to you, are your friends, and care about you. It would seem to me that you want a fashion show rather than a wedding. Be very careful, the bridesmaids just may come out to be prettier than the bride, which would serve you right! You are about as shallow as they come. IF this is your main worry about a wedding, count your blessings, Bridezilla!
