Try to stay on the basics and leave the bling for last. What you want to focus on first is performance and once youe have all that roar under your hood you can go for the body kits, wheels, spoilers and everything else you want. For now I would recommend that you install the three basic components for any starter engine, a cold air intake system along with exhaust headers and a larger exhaust system. And after you have that modify your suspension system. Install a tower strut and a larger sway bar. After that, install a coil-over kit, and your engine will handle like its on rails. Then go for the brakes, big HP demands big brakes. After you have the brakes install a turbo or supercharger kit along with intercooler, a clutch kit, short throw shifter, stronger pistons and rods, flywheels, etc. And before you know it you'll have a complete car.
Check out www.sportcompactonly.com for parts specific for you car. I think they have great prices and they ship in 3 - 5 days. You should also get some better spark plugs and a set of Nology wires along with your basic "starter kit" I think that will make quite a difference and its a good base on which to build upon.

Just go to ebay and buy everything you can find for it. Do the outside first - like spoilers, kick a** wheels etc.

it all costs too much money. i had a volvo and i trashed it.
the lesson there being, even if you had a russian T-28 tank you will still cause damage to it beyond your wildest dream.
if you broke your toys during your childhood, then a car is financially, a bad move
the worst case scenario is you run over someone. you don't need that kind of thing ruining your life.

Yeah buy every idiotic thing in autozone, stick it on badly and de-value the car.
or you could be the most original person out there and leave it alone.
Oh, and big noisy exhausts DO NOT improve performance. they just draw attention to that ridiculous wing you stuck on the back

I'd start with the sounds and tunes. Once you get the inside, then go to the outside. Gots to have the new pipes.

Start with a cold air or short ram intake, and maybe an exhaust. Then from there it just depends on your budget.
