90% of the politicians and government officials are corrupted in India. Rarely the corruption charges come to news headlines. Whenever they come, the government sets up a commision of its henchmen to investigate. Commision spends public money for ages only to discover that the politician was innocent. Even if it finds out some corruption, either the ruling party or the opposition somehow manages to save the politicians skin. News papers stop their hullabaloo. Public forget the incident. The politician retains his clean image and power. The future generation will never know that Rajib Gandhis name was associated with Bofors Scam. Present generation do not know whether there was any scam during Nehrus Regime. The past has been wiped out very carefully by politicians, administration, media.......... of course spending public money. But they will never be able to wipe out the greatest evidence of their corruption; the milions of starving men and women in India. No body can deny that 60 years are too long time to provide elementary facilities like drinking water, electricity, basic education, basic healthcare, to common masses in rural areas. In spite of all their shoutings and tall talks the Indian politicians have failed to achieve these.
The first thing the public can do is to stop pretending that they do not know all these. They can start keeping humble records of all corruptions that come to headline in the form of blogs. or in some website. Slowly it will form public opinion and someday may unite the masses to react. Public may also start rating the politicians and political parties on the basis of those records in those websites. At least a politician comes to know that he can't wipe off all the records of his crime. Future generations will know that his name was associated with a scam.
Is there anyone to come forward? if so plz.. mail me. It is an enormous task to be done by a single person since the coorruption levels are too high. Is there any one to volunteer???????????????

Every country has a corrupt politician, the problem is if a politician is corrupt theres a chance they 'own' some members of the police, in which case the only thing you can do is try and vote them out of office.

There's an old saying that a people get the government they deserve. Since a majority of our politicians are corrupt and we seem to tolerate it (or at least whine about it without doing anything) that says something about us, doesn't it? Maybe they're just an extension of the society that has become corrupt and unable to determine the difference between good and evil.

The last I heard, India was still a democracy. Get together, vote the bastards out of office. Start voting on the issues, not the party or the campaign (money CAN buy votes).
Most of India's problems today are of her own making, and she alone can solve them.
Be glad you're not America, where the corruption is close to 100%.

At little as 60%? I'm surprised I thought it was way more. What must be done is we all have to become educated voters. We have to stop voting along party lines on both sides because they don't have to do anything because they know they can count on us. Educating ourselves is the answer.
