Absolutely right!
Governments need people to be scared so they can force them to accept legislation that, were they not scared would incite a revolution.
IMHO all the rubbish last weekend; "The new 9/11" HA HA, was about trying to scare people into accepting something else that reduces their rights and liberties.
We already know that the Idiot Bush already has the "US Patriot act II" ready to unleash on the USA, and I'm guessing that the Idiot Bliar has a "UK Patriot act" ready to inflict upon the UK.
Anyone care to bet these two pieces of legislation get rushed through in the next few weeks, even when (as is now becoming patently clear) they can no longer hide the fact that there was no evidence for last week's fracas at all.

The US would be safer without the idiotic puppet masters who are pulling Bush's strings.
I think though that ALL powerful countries have played with the politics in other parts of the world. Britain did it for centuries, Germany too, how about the Romans and Greeks before them?
Bush prospered for a long time by keeping the US people scared, why else was there a major terrorist threat every time there was bad news for Bush ?
But it seems to me that most Americans have woken up to this tactic and are starting to realize they became the puppets too.
Terrorists are bad - deal with them SEVERELY, just dont invade another country without due cause or reason for their oil.

There is no terrorism, it's all a smokescreen created by a secret organization who wants to rule the world. The plan is to kill innocent Americans and make it look like the peaceful religion of Islam was behind it. Then US will have public support to detain these peaceful people and put underpants on their heads.

Recent events have proven that it is not necessary to cause death and destruction! just the fact that it could happen!
Fcuks up the works and puts everyone on edge. It also turns people against each other, for what? The guy has a long beard? He wears clothes that us in the west don't compute with?
can't you see what is going on? Before we know it there will be lots of "O'Briens" on the streets watching every move!
Who's next for room 101?

yea the CIA and top military advisors back in the day really wanted cuba. The CIA used terrorism on cuba. They trained cubans who didn't support the revolution to go over there and destroy buildings and bridges and stuff. Terrorism has been used forever. It can achieve what a war can with less casulties. well sometimes. I'll tell you what does work though. guerilla warfare.
