If they get that far, yes.
They should have no problem with whatever NL team gets there.
But, for me, I would be extremely happy if they simply finished in 1st place.
If the wild card comes The Central, then we should take the first round.
It is the ALCS that worries me.
Chances are we would play either The Red Sox or the yankees.
And, with all my hope & desires, I do not see The Tigers winning that series.
But that would be okay in my book.
Considering where The Tigers have been the last 15 years--this season is very magical, and nothing can take that away.

I hope they do. I think they may get to the World Series, but will lose to the NY Mets who really look awesome this year. The Tigers have been and will continue to be the story of the year for me. Leyland has to be Manager of the Year for the unbelievable turnaround with Detroit this year.

Tigers are very lame and boring team. Nobody wants to see them in the playoffs. TV ratings would be awful. Just a very mediocre team with no true fan base, mostly bandwagoners. Even die hard baseball fans, like myself, forgot they even existed until this year. Everyone will soon forget about them again. RIP Detroit.

A MONTH AGO I WOULD SAY THEY WAS A SHOULD IN BUT NOW THEY HAVE TO GET IN FIRST. I HOPE THEY WILL AND IF THEY MAKE IT TO THE WORLD SERIES THEY WILL WIN!!!

no the tigers are gonna be a bust. This whole year they have been depending on thier pitching. I think hitters are gonna start to figure out there starters stuff and detroit wont go past the first round. i think its a newyork year to win either yanks or mets.

I been die hard for years, and they will choke before the years out or the frist round, I know the so called fans (bandwangorers) will not comeback next season, same thing happen with my deadwings .
Hey rember the deadwings and the pistons had the best record in thier sport and what happen they choke, .....out after the 1st round and the thrid. so no way

NO. Because you cannot beat our White Sox. You may win the division, but if you win the first playoff series, you'll play the Sox to go to the Series and get swept.

No, they're young pitching is too inexperienced and Kenny Rogers has been sucking it up lately, and they're starting to slump into the latter parts of the season, you want to go into the playoffs hot, I won't be surprised to see the White Sox pass them up.
