Females have XX chromosomes
Males have XY chromosomes

Sometimes you can have XXY chromosomes. This results in a male baby with a condition called Klinefelter Syndrome.

XY technically it's a boy whether or not the infant has female genitalia.

xy mean that you are a male...if you have female genitals then the parents and the Dr make a decision from there whether ot not the baby should be a male or female

Based on what I know, that infant wouldn't be a female or it has a genetic defect.

if it had a y chromosome, it wouldn't be a female

XX=Female
XY=Male
