You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.
You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.
To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

There should be a rectangular box underneath your address bar on the top left with a magnifying glass in it if you click on the little down arrow you will see'Options' on the right of the box at the bottom of the list is 'Clear search history' this is probably what you want.

it takes more than just clearing history
which is what most people think is the solution
do the following and you will have no worries
open your browser
click tools up top
click internet options
click clear history
change the days to keep history to 0
click delete files
now click the content tab
click auto complete
click clear forms
then where it says use autocomplete for uncheck all the things you dont want your browser to store.
that way you wont have to keep going back and clearing things out. good luck

While you have internet explorer open click on the options menu, then select internet options. The select clear history, while your there click on delete files too. Good Luck :O)

In IE, click strategies>>internet ideas. less than the "time-honored" tab, click the sparkling heritage button. In Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+Delete and confirm surfing heritage has a verify mark next to it.

use mozilla firefox browser, you can get rid of all traces etc on there. and its better than ie6....also, on a webpage, goto tools,internet options, then clear history
