Gay lesbian centers, coffee houses, some restaurants, match.com, craigslist, bath houses, join a charity (love makes a family is good one), their are gay singing groups, sports groups, coming out groups, youth groups, vacations or use the internet either match.com or craigslist.

I suggest the internet. Have you ever noticed that more than half of the people in yahoo chats are in the gay chat rooms? Ever wonder why there is SO much gay porn? It's because the internet is the PERFECT place for gays. Everything can be done by another name, no one can identify you or out you, and you can meet other gay people from all around the WORLD! I suggest a chat room.
"But I was talking about a real life meeting place" ... god your pickey. Ok if you want to meet other gay men in RL (real life) then I suggest a park or a gym. At parks you'll find old men with grey mustaches (if that's your thing then go for it) and at gym's you'll find gay men that are so self absorbed that they probably wont be able to see you past their pectorals. I'd go with the gym because there even if you cant find a nice gay guy to talk to you'll at least find some eye candy!

I guess they meet in the same places that other people go to. Seems like gay men would have an easy time, at least where I live -- there are always tons of gorgeous gay men at Neiman Marcus, or at the gym, or any nice upscale place -- my question is, where are all the handsome straight men with good taste?

In bigger cities especially, there's a whole SLEW of different social activities that are primarily targeted for the GLBT community. There's gay sports teams, gay gardening groups...pretty much any random hobby you can come up with. There's also the GLBT groups associated with colleges. And a lot of people just end up meeting people out in "straight society".

Any big city will have a gay area. Move there, that way any place you go will be a social gay place... Cafe, bar, grocery store, church, yes even churches. I know two with gay pastors.

Anywhere that people gather "is" a social place for one. Second, this is really a subjective question. Are you open with your sexuality? In my experience, (being openly gay), I dont have trouble meeting someone in say; Bookstores, concerts, resturaunts, in the mall, on the bus, wherever!! Have the confidence to just say, HELLO!!

I usually go to the coffee house, I mean the only time I really enjoy going to the bars is when my alter ego comes out! she is the one that likes the bars!

Go get you local Gay/ Lesbian magazine--- Kind of like She Magazine or the LN....... Its for guys. It will have activities, churches, groups, dinners,,, different stuff... Unfortunately I get my mags at the bars.. So just pop in and discreetly grab one and leave.. Or We Have Gay and Lesbian Centers out here...

We like to do the same things and enjoy the same types of places as straight folks do...
