Yes it is. Emotional infidelity can be just as devastating to a relationship as physical infidelity.

Yes, I'm afraid it is. I am a "cheater". Well at least I was. The affair was in person and over the net. Unless two people, lets say husband and wife, share the Internet games, it's cheating.

Don't believe me? Ask my wife. She is the only woman that I have ever loved and ever will as far as i can tell, and we do not live together. The Internet cheating was almost as painful as the "real cheating". So I guess it's just a matter of what side of the situation you are on whether it's real or not. To me at the time, they were just words and roll play, now i see things differently.

Well I think its a very valid question for people who are always on net. You tend to interact and then generate liking towards someone. All depends on you whether you are attached to that person just a friend or more than that? Whether interaction with this person is taking you away from your current soul mate or not? Whether you know when to put brakes or are you running out of control? Whether you are trying to compare your current soul mate with this person who have found online? How intense and real is your interaction with the online user?

There is nothing wrong .. its not actually cheating if you know your limits. Your conscience should decide this not the mode of communication. I have 5-7 REAL good, old and close pals. Sometimes I discuss things which I cant even discuss with my GF and vice versa. Bottom line, its NOT cheating untill you start decide to go against your current one.

Affair is the smart word used for our misdeeds. Any relationship before marriage is called immorality, after the marriage if we do it , it is called as adultery. The fallen society always encourages these kind of affairs. they say "stolen honey is sweet). the question itself reflects that you are feeling guilty about having affair. always we have to see where the relationship will carry us.

Do you really need to ask, any kind of sexual relationship outwith your own physical relationship is cheating, and what difference does it make whether its online or not, how would you feel if your partner went out and sh**ed someone - thats cheating, so is what you are asking

To an extent it is cheating and you need to think about fighting off the tempation to actually meet this person and really do something wrong... So the sooner you can break it off the better...

If you are already attached to someone----ofcourse its cheating. BUT---and heres the flip side. If you chose to share this extra activity with your partner, and she or he is ok with it and is able to have the same freedom----and if both of you could use this diversion to stimulate your own flagging emotions and love life then I feel it is fine. Me and my husband have used similar side attractions to spice up our romance and over the last 10 years it has never failed to work.

Wow, how many times is this question going to be asked? Yes, it's cheating. You're doing this with someone else something you promised only to do with your spouse.

It's called an emotional affair.
Women like it better than sex, but it means about the same.

Lying about it makes it cheating.
