Yes, if you open you iPod on the computer as though it were a hard drive then you can find the music files in one of the hidden folders. If you cant see the hidden folder go Tools>Foler Options>View and click the option that says "show hidden files and folders". Press OK and now you should be able to see the hidden folders with your music.

Yes, you can but you can't do it from iTunes.
You could copy the hidden files, but then they have all kinds of weird file names. The easiest way to do it is to download some software that does it for you.
If you are on the Mac you can download software called Senuti. http://fadingred.org/senuti/
If you are using Windows, there is similar free software available called SharePod that you can download from: http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod
This will let you transfer music from the ipod to the Mac/PC. Of course, you could also just copy your iTunes library from one computer to the other and not even use your ipod and you don't need special software for that.

use copy pod. its a program you can easily find on the internet. or you can extract files by going through your MYCOMPUTER and then open it as if it were a media device. the folders will be named a bunch of weird stuff like MV183 or something like that. right click and open with a media player. BAM! youre done and enjoy your music with a smile.

You iPod will only work on one computer, if you try to sync it to another computer it will erase the contents of the iPod. The iPod always wants to sync with the local computer you are on, no matter which computer you previously used it on. I would recommend putting all your music on one computer and using that for the iPod, goodluck!

Itunes has to be installed and I believe it will only work if you are signed in to both computers on the same account.

it depends, music files bought from itunes for example are copywrite protected so they will only function on your computer and your ipod, you have to buy another license to use it on another machine. However you should be able to copy non protected material to another machine, just conect your ipod to your USB port then use it like any removable storage device
