Ya comprehend, its annoying for somebody like me (white) to devote on a query like this without human beings seeing it as raciest incredibly then in basic terms a theory or harmless question or devote. i'm via far no longer a raciest, I propose hell my fiance isn't even white. yet as far by way of fact the "N" be conscious, for my section, and that's only an opinion. it relatively is only a be conscious that originated from the Spanish be conscious ***** (which means the colour "black") yet has additionally been very abused in many techniques that dates lower back to slavery. yet for somebody to call a woman b*tch or hoe that's only thoroughly rood and uncalled for in any difficulty. No genuine gentleman might ever call or say that to a girl. It in basic terms belittles the guy utilising the words. In my eyes no person is suited however the flaws human beings do and say relatively do lead them to who they are and if somebody famous it mandatory to belittle others they are in basic terms belittling there self and there photograph.

i suppose it magically sends them back to the days when they were slaves and beaten, lynched and hated, merely for being black. Back then (and even now, just done so more discretely) blacks were loathed and hated simply for being born black.. it was nothing that they could help. can you imagine being hated because you are different. whether it was because of the style of hair that you chose or the color of your eyes...even the color of your skin. how would you feel if you were hung from the oak down the river because you looked at a woman cross-eyed and she didn't like your stare? how would you feel if you were stared at and were demanded to leave a location (any location) because of the color of your skin?
It was New Years Day 1863 that slaves were freed in the South, yet it was not until the 1950's and 1960's that signs such as "No *******," and "Whites ONLY" were taken down. almost a century later. A century!! after slaves were set free!?!?!

After so many years of unfair (and outrageous) treatment, and after so many years of being called "******" by your opressor, wouldn't YOU get offended by the term?

Because they're ancestors suffered at the hand of the white people. This was probably passed down from generation to generation. I mean people have nicknames that it is only alright if some people call them by it and not others. I think it's just like that. Besides if that word came out of my mouth I would think it was one of the dirtiest words I have ever said. So I have no problem with them not wanting me to say it.

The word isnt offensive to all blacks. And some black people get offened no matter who calls them one. Its stupid i know, but a black person calling another black person a n@gga isnt offensive because they feel as if they have gone through something together and they know the struggle, they earned the right. Just like many people may call their mother, father, brother, sister, etc. stupid, ugly, fat, retarded and so on. yet when someone outside the family randomly calls your mom fat stupid ugly lady you get upset. In today's society the word b*tch is everyday term and we call it to our friends, but if someone who wasnt your friend called you a b*tch you would get mad. same reasons, different words. its all really simple so people should stop treating black people and the word n@gga as if its unique, cuz it aint.

A large part of it has to do with the context and the re-approriation of words that are and were considered derogatory. It really has to do with empowerment and how a minority group sees itself in the larger framework of society. If you can re-appropriate a word that was considered offensive then it almost takes all the negative impact out of the word itself. Whether this is morally acceptible is up for debate.

Don't you mean "Why doesn't the 'N' word offend blacks when they use it toward each other?"

There is actually a movie about that called "The 'N' Word" that explains it all. The word is actually slang for "*****", which you will have to look up in a dictionary.

It is not a racial slur, but rather a slur against ALL races.

Becuase when people began using that term it was during the slave era. So it was a derogatory term. Now as an inside thing they can call each other that because they are the same.

It's kind of like when you yell at your sister and fight with her but get mad if anyone outside of the family tries to do that.

Personally, I don't really think that or any other racial slur should be used by anyone.

I don't know but I asked a black friend one time and she said "we are just calling each other Stupid by saying that to each other." When white people say it it's being used as a prejudgist saying. The moral is you shouldn't say it period. It might get you messed up!

No it isn't, Just don't say it.
Research the word, do a little history report, write a littler story after your done reading about it, a book report.
Then you might know why we get mad when other races say it.
If I called me bestfriend a stupid *** *****, she won't get mad. But if I just walk up to somebody on the street and say that, their going to get mad..
Just don't use the word, and you won't get your feelings hurt, okay?
