yes, alongside sexism and homophobia and all other forms of hatred. we hate what we fear, and we fear what we don't know or understand. but in doing so, we give those fears power over our lives. imagine what the world would look like if we let go of our fears, stopped acting out of ignorance, and allowed life to flow as it will. we build walls to keep the things we fear out, but the sad part is in doing so, we hold ourselves prisoner.
all of this is a reflection of the lack of maturity humans possess on the whole.
we have to have the strength to look within and carefully construct WHY we hate the things we do. most times we'll find our fears are unfounded...
it is only through knowledge and compassion, honesty and interaction that we can begin to grow.
