You can try a people search to see if you can track his whereabouts to have a court of his jurisdiction serve him legal papers for a divorce or you can hire a personal attorney and investigator to locate him.

Once you locate him, he has a certain amount of time to answer your complaint for divorce or the divorce might be granted in your favor without his presence.

He should be filing tax returns so you might be able to locate that information because you are his spouse by going through the proper legal channels to do so.

Find out where he is if you can and then file for divorce, serve him with papers and show up at the court date to be awarded your divorce. If you don't know where he is, send a notice to his last known address, send a notice to his parent's house, and then place an ad in the newspaper as well. When you show up to court, show the judge that you tried to locate him but couldn't and if you have your evidence that you tried, the judge will grant you a divorce.

Contact an attorney. You can file under abandonment. An ad will be placed in your local newspapers or in law journals. The cost will be part of your attorney's fees. You have already lived apart long enough to meet statutory minimum in every state. You'll be asked to sign an affidavit stating that this is true.

Fill out the paper work, pay the sheriff to serve the papers on your "husband." The sheriff will not be able to find him, so the divorce is automatic. Good luck

You should contact a lawyer and ask how to go about it. The initial consult should be free. After that, you should have no problem getting things moving.

The lawyer can hire a PI to try to locate your "missing" spouse and then the legal process can be completed. Shouldn't take all that long.

Talk to a lawyer. If you can't afford one, there is always Legal Aid.
Do you know if he is still alive? That would be the easiest way - but don't kill him!
