So many things to change. A nation is only as good as it's Military and Technology. I would strengthen both.

Then I would concentrate on other things:

Stop the flow of money to ALL COUNTRIES, except humanitarian efforts, food and medicine, and do this for 4 years to strengthen our own Country. That money would be spend on alternate fuel production, tax incentives to purchase the vehicles that use the alternate fuel.

I would CLOSE our Borders, and deport the Illegal immigrants.

Also I would make education a MANDATORY part of the Welfare system... so if you are receiving welfare (unless you are disabled or a over the age of 55) you would be required to go to state/federal run schools to teach a trade, etc. If you don't go to school and then to work after 4 years, the money would stop.

I also would raise the minimum wage to a living wage. The larger corporations will just have to swallow that, and the FAT CATS at the top can go on a Money diet, and let the people at the bottom actually be able to live on their pay.

Then I would solidify the Social Security accounts, and make it a law that that money is to stay in that fund, and not be used for other things.

I would build more prisons, to KEEP the bad guys behind bars, to let them serve their FULL term. They too would be subject to attending a form of education (within the prison system) to help them when they get out.

Then I would begin to help other counties, if they ask, to help themselves.

I could go on and on, but it's only a dream and I am just a citizen who would never be heard by the political system.

I would first change our media structure so we can get some real news and educate our people on what is REALLY going on in the world. Less bias, less opinion and slant, more straight facts, more interational stories. Less commercials that encourage material consumption, and more commercials that campaign for change (have you seen a foreign news show? MUCH DIFFERENT!)

Once you educate the people they cant ignore the truth and they will start to change things.

I would like to change society's "Give us his head" mentality.
There would be lots more disclosure and accountability, if we
stopped overeacting. And learned to be fair.
The only way the Head of an organization should have to resign, is if he conspired with, or took part in a cover-up, in an abuse.

abolish the illegal IRS and taxes.
institute a flat tax 10%. if the federal govt runs out of money, tough cookies. learn to spend it more wisely.
