Tried Nair (and other hair removal lotions) - NONE worked down there. They either irritated the skin terribly and/or didn't leave a smooth result even after leaving it on longer.
Tried waxing once... NEVER AGAIN. Besides the pain, it didn't do the job completely and worse yet, it caused me to bleed where it had ripped off hair. Makes me cringe just remembering the horror of it...
Tried all the trimmers and other shaving gizmos... not even close to being smooth. Feels a man's 5 o'clock shadow. Rough, not smooth.
My best option: Shaving
Excellent razor, proper prep, good shaving cream - I get very smooth results and no irritation. But everything has to be just right - irritations or razor burn/bumps occur alot in women if they shave down there. I've been there, done that. Found MY perfect razor and cream and no more bumps. (I say MY perfect razor and cream because I'm sure it's different for all women with so many praising waxing and my experience saying otherwise)

NO!! After hearing a horror story from my cousin...
She applied the nair to her bikini area wanting to be perfect for a trip to Hawaii. She was sitting on the edge of the tub, with her legs open letting it sit. She son was taking a nap and the phone rang. She jumped up (not wanting the phone to wake her her son) and ran to get the phone. She then realized that this was a mistake and she burned some of the areas that she was NOT wanting to remove hair on.....if you get my drift.
I'd go get it waxed- it seems safer. :)

I just read someon else's answer and the bikini touch is AWESOME! I use it all the time.

I used to, but it never worked very well for me either. I ended up buying a Bikini Touch battery-powered razor made especially for that area. It's very good for sensitive skin and works better than Nair... but I'm still thinking of trying a wax someday. Ouch.

Are you using a washcloth to un-nair the nair from down there?
It's a different hair down there than what is normally naired.
And you might have to leave it on longer, but watch that, because irritation could occur.

Don't use NAIR. Besides having a foul odor, it doesn't work well at all. *l* They sell some nice trimmers at various stores, along with quite a variety of hair-removal products. See what they've got and test some things out.

I didn't even know they made Nair for down there, I use a mens mustache trimmer....works great and no razor burn or worse chemical burns.

I tried it once, too.... it irritated my skin so bad if I left it on long enough to actually do anything. The chems are too strong for that really sensitive skin, and too weak for the thick-shafted hairs in the pubic area. I gave up.
