I don't hate the left, however it is very hard to respect them. All they seem to do is attack any ideas or policy implemented by conservatives. The lack of respect comes because all they do is criticize without ever offering an alternative.

I don't hate any side.
The voters of CT decided, what is your issue with that?
And the love goes both ways, doesn't it?
I wonder what would happen to a Republican candidate if they supported all of the mantra associated with the right, but they supported gay marriage? What would happen do you think? Of course, the same that happened to good old Joe.
That's politics. That is how our country works. When Bush was first elected I wasn't happy, but I had some hope, because he did emphasize that he wanted to unite all parties.
Remember: "I am a uniter, not a divider"?
Turns out that was an utter lie. That is one of the many reasons I am disgruntled with this administration, and the voters in CT also. Any candidate that receives a kiss from the current president will lose a lot of love!

I don't think that Liberman can tolerate losing, that is why he switched parties. I think the dems in CT (those are the ones that voted) are most concerned with the war right now, because that is the issue right now. Abortion is settled law of the land, gay marriage banishment was overturned (by the republicans, as well mind you), Bush has made govt bigger than ever, and the deficit as well. So I guess that would make all of those non-issues when deciding who to elect this time around.

The left is intolerant? It was Cheney that basically stated that those who voted for Lamont support terrorism. It's the neocons who are always saying that those who disagree with them should leave the country. Just look at the questions on this board.
The voters are getting fed up with the war and Lieberman paid for it; just like all the GOP rubber-stamps in Congress are going to pay this November.

Too many on both sides of the aisle are intolerant. Bu that's beside the point.
As far as Lieberman, that's the way the process is supposed to work. If an elected official is not accurately representing your interests, you elect someone else who will. That's the entire point of the representative form of government.
It's not intolerant to think someone else can do a better job representing you. It's intolerant when people slam someone of a different party just because they don't agree with them.
The voters chose someome they believed would better represent their interests and what they care about. And that's the way it's supposed to work.

Hey there, Junior,
Is it any different than a pro-choice Republican trying to move up the GOP leadership ladder or winning the Republitard Presidential Nomination? Think for yourself - just because Rush is using the "intolerant" silliness for propaganda doesn't mean you actually have to swallow it. If Rush was for Man-Sheep relations would you automatically be as well? Let's use that brain, come on, you can do it.

So what... the right is now the party of brotherly love? The left has been putting up with this **** way too long. Intolerant of intolerance is a more accurate description. And its not just the left that is sick of this crap. Stop trying to put everybody into a nice little box.

You act like the issue about the Iraqi war is not a big issue.
Since when is a war that was based on lies and misinformation that has killed an estimated 40,000 civilians and 2,600 of our troops not a huge issue, if not THE issue of our political landscape this election?
There are better candidates who realize that the war in Iraq is indeed an atrocity that should not be advocated...why not support them over Lieberman?

We don't like him because he supports the war in Iraq, and because he's so comfy with Bush...
Look the war is the number 1 issue right now, and it is what's going to decide almost every election until it is over, Lamont supported all those things too, but he was against the war, there you go he wins.

why has the right become so intolerant?
no gay marriage
no right to your own body
no right to your own privacy
more prisons (privately owned cash cows)
less schools (libraries too!)
continuing a war that is wrong
these are not family values!
I would gladly pay more taxes for better roads, schools, and healthcare.
