My motto is: Don't make accusations unless you can back it up! Personally - when I am accused of something I had nothing to do with, I get very upset! Yes - angry. However - when people get defensive - watch out! Whole new can of worms!

I always look at what I would do. I can clearly remember this one time when someone was making false accusations. I didn't get mad, I tried to explain to them why they were wrong in their accusations. Getting angry is a sure sign that something is not right.

Could be both, but it's been my experience that the reaction sbetween being unjustly accused or defensive have been two different things. People get overly angry when they are feeling guilty.

could be anyone of those. One time I made a comment that this site I sccidently got on was a chat site for men to find girls in our area. I wasn't accusing him, I know that my computer saves settings, but he got SUPER pissy at me. Called me names and everything. He's also just told me I'm being silly (very calmly) the few times I was snooping for stuff to accuse him with. I've also acted in both extremes myself. Well, I usually just blow him off if he says anything slightly accusing. I kiss him and say "stop it, you know I love you". but one time he was talking to a guy I work with and he said the guy told him to "keep an eye on me" I not use what he meant, but I was drunk, and I body checked him off his chair after my husband told me.

If he always gets mad at you and changes the subject to you, then it's probably hitting a sweet spot. (sorry)

good luck
