Depends on whether you're seeking a short term or long term deal. For short term, she has to be physically attractive. For long term, it goes way beyond the skin. Compatability would be on or near the top of the list.

i am kidding. I think they look for someone that is:
smart
funny
good looking (people who say looks aren't important are lying to themselves. keeping in mind everyone has a different set of standards. my husband is a little on the larger side, but then again i like a guy that has weight behind him.)
kind of like their mom (but not in an obvious way and usually not consciously!).
at least the guys worth looking into should be looking for those things.
i have met a few that really are only looking for a vagina!

So call me weird, but I like the librarian or kindergarten- teacher type. Kind, gentle, intelligent.
Preferably with a soft and higher pitched voice.
The kind that other women often refer to as "mousy", probably because they are jealous.
