You would have to define great to get a real answer. Will they repeat last years performance? Maybe...
First you have to look at personel changes in the past year:
For the most part the offense is still the same. The O-line is strong, Shaun Alexander is still the same dominating running back he was last year, Hasselbeck is still at the helm, and the recieving corp is still pretty solid.
They picked up Nate Burleson from the vikings, and with his starting potential and skills locks up the slot position at reciever giving Hasselbeck even more targets and simultaneously allows the offensive attack to be more widespread.
On the defense one key aquisition was made:
Linebacker Julian Peterson. This deal is two-fold because taking this pro bowl player from the 49'ers strengthens the defense and gives them one less player to worry about twice a year. Peterson, when healthy is a beast who makes plays regularly. Keep an eye out for a good year by him.
Injuries are always a problem and as of right now, Jeramy Stevens is out for about six weeks with an injury to his knee...he's one of the more productive members of the recieving corp thanks to his size and speed combined with sure hands, but the regular season games that he misses are only going to be about three, which are the cardinals, the lions, and the giants...
Which brings me to the schedule, one of the most determining factors in a teams success.
The seahawks schedule is as follows for the regular season:
Sun 9/10 at Detroit 1:00 pm
Sun 9/17 Arizona 4:05 pm
Sun 9/24 NY Giants 4:15 pm
Sun 10/1 at Chicago 8:15 pm
bye
Sun 10/15 at St. Louis 1:00 pm
Sun 10/22 Minnesota 4:15 pm
Sun 10/29 at Kansas City 1:00 pm
Mon 11/6 Oakland 8:30 pm
Sun 11/12 St. Louis 4:15 pm
Sun 11/19 at San Francisco 4:05 pm
Mon 11/27 Green Bay 8:30 pm
Sun 12/3 at Denver 4:15 pm
Sun 12/10 at Arizona 4:05 pm
Thu 12/14 San Francisco 8:00 pm
Sun 12/24 San Diego 4:15 pm
Sun 12/31 at Tampa Bay 1:00 pm
Detroit is still a suspect team, they have some options on offense, but no definite leader at the qb position, with that said I give the game to the Seahawks. (1-0)
Arizona...a black sheep in the NFC West...They have the talent on both sides of the ball to be a play off contender, especially with the addition of Ederin James. This is going to be a good game, the only thing the Cards don't have is the guidance, they are a pretty young team in terms of experience (Kurt Warner excluded). The Seahawks have veteran experience and most of a depth chart filled with returners from the super bowl. The Cards biggest weakness is there linebacking corp, which would be great for Stevens, but he'd still be injured...if the backup TE Mili can have a good game this should go in the Seahawks favor. Plus your at home. I give this one to the Seahawks. (2-0)
The Giants, another young team with promise. Eli will determine how well you guys do in this one. If he is up and coming pro bowl Eli, you might have some problems. Tiki Barber is a sure handed tailback with pro bowl numbers, now that his fumbling issues are gone. They built on their defense as well in the off-season, so this one is really a toss up. Both squads are about equal in terms of make-up. Just to be fair I'll give it to the Giants. (2-1)
Chicago...(3-1)
St. Louis. They are going with a more ground driven approach led by Steven Jackson. Your front seven will have to be on their p's and q's in this matchup. The only problem with the rams is that their defense is still suspect. Marc Bulger is a sure qb, but the defense will lose the game. (4-1)
Minnesota. With Brad Johnson at the helm, the turnover ratio is going to drop, he doesn't like to take chances. The Viking offense is going to be more balanced, and the defense more aggressive. Brad Childress comes over from the Eagles where he ran a west coast defense, lots of cross routes over the middle of the field, no huddles, confusion. He also worked with Jimmy Johnson the defensive cordinator for the Eagles. Johnson loved the blitz, so expect some pressure. The Viking front seven is solid, great defensive tackles in Pat and Kevin Williams, solid linebacking crew as well, they can apply some pressure. With Brad Johnson at the helm, he made the Vikings look like play off contenders, you guys are at home, but I'm going to give it to the Vikes. (4-2)
Kansas City...away. With Priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez, Trent Green, and a solid defensive unit, the Chiefs will try to keep you away from the ball with short routes and lots of running. In comes Julian Peterson...He can handle Gonzalez while stopping the run. This should be a good match up. (5-2)
Oakland...Even with Moss and Aaron Brooks...(6-2)
St. Louis...underdogs again, this time away...(7-2)
San Fransico...(8-2)
Green Bay. Farve is at the end of his career and the o-line isn't good enough to set up a decent pass protection. The glory days of the packers are best seen on film. (9-2)
Denver. This one is interesting. Denver made some strides and have a solid core on both sides of the ball. This is an away game, giving the Broncos the edge...Matched up against this play off team, the odds are just about even given the circumstances. Denver gets this one though...(9-3)
Cardinals...pt.2. At this point the game will be a toss up because one of two things will have happened:
1) Kurt Warner is healthy and has led the Cardinals to some sort of respectability (a winning record). He still has the talent, he just needs to stay healthy.
2) Kurt Warner got hurt (physically or performance wise) and Matt Leinhart is in.
Either way this game is away against a rival and will be a toss-up your best bet is the second option, because if Kurt is healthy he can be dangerous. Oh yeah...then there is Edge. Cardinals. (9-4)
San Francisco...(10-4)
Ok...at this point you should be in the playoffs. 10 has been the magic number, everything over that just determines home-field which is great, but as seen last year...isn't needed. So continuing...
San Diego. The Chargers are now under the River's Regime. Phillip Rivers has the reigns and in camp he has shown promise.
They are the team to beat in the AFC West, with the dangerous Tomlinson at tailback, anything can happen. Their defense is extremely solid as well. Secondary led by Quinten Jammer, a linebacking corp that featured the hard hitting rookie of the year, they can pose problems. If Phillip has a good day it will be a game to watch, if he has a bad one...it will be a game to watch. I'm going Chargers. (10-5)
Tampa Bay. Cadillac, Simms, and the three headed attack of Joey Galloway, Michael Clayton and...David Boston? Yes I said it. David Boston, he is going to make a major impact in Tampa this year and I wouldn't be surprised if they spread it out in some three reciever sets this season to exploit the lack of depth in most teams secondaries. The Buc defense is still one of the defining ones in the league with names in all sections. This away game will be a tough one, but luckily you should already be in the play offs. I give this one to the bucs though. (10-6)
With that said. You're in the playoff again for sure, minus injuries, but the teams that you are playing against have promise. Once your in though everything goes out the window and it's win or go home time.
Hope this helps.

Eh...probably riding Shaun again I hate to say it, but they probably will. As far as the super bowl goes, I wouldn't make reservations for Miami, the NFC got a lot better this season, and teams what werer good last year got stacked this year. We'll see how things turn out.
(Hey Joe_Hurdle....same to you big guy. The only reason you're okay with it is because the calls were in your teams favor, just admit it, there were a lot of bad calls and Nutbergers jump to the endzone wasn't a TD...he pulled the freakin' ball from his gut and put it into the endzone, seriously, you can't honestly say that was a TD. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Seahawks now and I wanted the Steelers to win at the time because I'm a Panther's fan and I like to see bad things for teams that beat them...but now with all the Steeler fans being stupid....kinda regret that. Just stop being so thick headed.)

They should at least win their division and win at least 10 games, so yes they'll have another good year, Super Bowl again I don't know, but the NFC is weaker and their division is weak so they might just get back.
