Is it death that happens when your not thinking? What really goes on in your brain between thoughts? Can you tell me what you "think" between conscious thought?

Even when you're not consciously thinking of something, your brain is still working, so you couldn't classify it as death. You could however, call it comatose. Now, if you notice that your heart stops beating and you're not breathing, then you could say that it's death. Of course, at that point, I don't think that you'd be saying much of anything.

I don't know, but death is the ending of all physiological processes, including thought, so I suppose as soon as all residual electrical activity has stopped, your brain no longer fires neurons and axons, and so no longer thinks. Kind of like a politician.

It's rare for me to have a 'blip' between thoughts but I imagine my brain is processing information to form the next thought.

I believe the unconscious and the subconscious mind are doing basic maintenance,, faulty logic error correction, correct error enter correction, delete error proceed. Same with healing and repairing the physical body and sometimes resting the central processor.

I've never had a gap in my thoughts. I'm constantly thinking and churning things around in my mind. Do you mean like sleeping? I guess you are sort of "dead" then.

Hmmmm, very interesting question!
