Pull out all the food. Throw out old or expired stuff and stuff that you don't know how old it is. Clean unremovable shelves w/ Clorox wipes and then remove the drawers and was them w/ hot soapy water.

Unload everything and throw away outdated items. Turn the fridge off. Take all the racks, shelves and drawers out and put them in your bath tub. Turn the hot water on and add your favorite all purpose household cleaner. Turn the water off when it covers all items and let them soak.
Put some cleaner in a bucket and start washing down the inside of the fridge; don't forget the door gaskets. I use one of those sponges that has the sponge on one side and a scrubber on the other side. This is helpful if something is stuck to the interior.
Rinse with clean water and about a cup of white vinegar and wipe dry.
Drain the bathtub, and, if needed, scrub any items that may not have "soaked" clean. At this point, you can either re-fill the tub to rinse the items, or, if your tub has a shower, turn the shower on and it will rinse things.
Then, all you need to do, is dry and re-install the racks, shelves and drawers, put the food back in and turn the fridge back on.
Also, this would be a great time to vacuum the coils. These are usually under the fridge (behind the grill at the front) or behind the fridge.
I do this about twice a year. In between, I am careful to wipe up any spills. Since I put paper toweling in my crisper drawers, I change this weekly.
Sounds like a lot of work but it really doesn't take more than about 45 minutes.

Frost-Free: Piece of cake! Just take stuff off the shelves and clean from the top-down with a bucket of warm water and fragrance-free soap
Frost: (freezer inside the fridge): It is best unplug the fridge and defrost your freezerbox FIRST, THEN clean from top-down as described above. To get the defrosting done in a hurry, empty the fridge of its contents and boil a pot of water on the stove, then put the pot in the freezer until it cools, then do it again and again, until the frost falls off.
This way you'll have a clean fridge, and use less energy b/c the frost buildup makes your fridge less efficient.

Use warm water with a light bit of liquid dish washing detergent.
Easy way is to wait for when you are due to go shopping and there's not much left. Move everything to one side and wipe the empty side. Move things over and repeat. I like to set my dishpan near the fridge so I don't have to keep going back to the sink dripping.
I use an old toothbrush to scrub around the gaskets with some general purpose diluted simple green which is safe to use around food stuffs.
If you have the manual to the frige there should be cleaning instructions in there. You can also look on the internet for the maker's website.
I like to set a small box of baking soda in both the freezer and the frige to keep odor away.

The fridge is easy. Take everything out, wipe it down real good. You can use almost anything that will get the dirt off. Wipe down all the jars, bottles, etc. and put them back in NEATLY.
As far as the freezer goes, put a little rubbing alcohol in the cleaning water and your cloth won't stick to the freezer when you wipe it out.
It isn't a fun job but if you keep up with it, it is no big deal.

I clean my fridge and freezer every week before I grocery shop. Therefore, it's already relatively clean so I just need to wipe with Clorox Clean Up and discard old stuff. If you haven't cleaned in a while, take everything out. throw away outdated products and clean all over with soapy water. Finish up with a swipe of clorox. Don't forget to take the drawers out, it can get really yucky under there!

pull everything out and get a bowl of warm water and lemon juice and wipe the inside out with this mixture-this will make it smell good and is a great cleaner!! You can also microwave a cup of water and a piece of lemon and microwave this for 3 min. This will losen all the gross stuff inside your microwave and make it easier to clean-smells good too!!
