I'm assuming you meant "mahogany". Since mahogany smells very little, if any, you should check your home for cockroaches as a cockroach infestation smells vaguely of wood. If you meant something other than the tropical tree, my apologies. stiffy.

Not at all jealous. My house smells of herbs and spices. Fresh from the garden and drying ones hanging. Wonderful!

No offense, but No.
I enjoy the general smell of a forest, and enjoy wood for various reasons, but for my house I'd much prefer the natural scent of salt sea air, and beach fragrances.

I have made many pieces of furniture from mahogany. It has very little smell.
Now if you had said cypress, now that is a different story. Cypress has a wonderful long lasting aroma.
