My doc gave me a list of over the counter meds that are approved in pregnancy. For colds: Sudafed, Actifed, Normal Saline Nasal Spray, Robitussin DM, Tylenol Cold, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, Benadryl and Tylenol PM. Good luck, I had a stuffy nose the whole time I was pregnant. I only ever took tylenol but according to the list from the doc, these are all okay. Maybe your doctor has a similar list you can get.

Generally speaking, if you doctor prescribes something, it's okay. But, I didn't take anything more than Tylenol with my daughter, and I think it's better if you don't. Especially ephedrine is unpredictable. Try taking Zinc--it improves your immune respnse, and also improves the condition of your mucous membranes, so less sinus distress. Plus, it is a mineral your body needs, anyway.

How pregnant are you? I would never take anything in the first trimester.

My sinuses have been horrible my whole pregnancy....I'm just sticking it out. You could try cough drops (Halls can open your passages) if your doctor oks them, or plain saline drops up the nose, or spicy food (if you can stand it)

I don't like take anything at all when I'm pregnant so I don't. Call your doctor before you do anything.

I wouldn't ....especially if it has effedrine in it. Ask your doctor..

I haven't taken even a tylenol in 31 weeks...

I'll only take my prenatals...

I figure...millions of women for millions of years have survived without pharmacies and drugs and the little conveniences of this generation...so can I.

It's just a stuffy nose right?

If you're too uncomfortable to go without...talk to your doctor before you do anything...don't take medical advice from us.

You aren't supposed to take anything but acetemetaphine which is the active ingredient in regular strenght tylenol. However, if your doctor prescribes something else for you, it should be okay.

My Dr. gave me a list of things I can safely take while pregnant to put on my refrigerator. Suddifed is one of them, so yes!

I did and both my children are fine. My OB even prescribed Flonase for me. I took claritin, sudaphed, and benedryl while I was pregnant as well all with my OB's blessing.
