Yes, it undoubtedly would. Hugging, like all bodily contact, raises levels of a biochemical called oxytocin in the human body, which heightens a sense of wellbeing.

It's the chemical that gives you the feeling of being warm inside. That, and serotonin, which gives you the feeling of being in love.

So yeah ... be short on words and long on hugs. Works for me.

I think both R similar in nature in a way, Hugging's a practicle & saying hello's a verbal source of expressing your emotions. The practicality may, B more effective than just an verbal expressions I guess, but at the same time, it doesn't make any difference with regards to the world being nicer place, for sure, as V R not going to hugg or say hello to the people around the world.

Well, I like hugging, it makes me feel great but there are some people I couldn't imagine hugging without feeling sick and I expect everyone probably feels the same, but it is a lovely thought, perhaps we could have a Hug a person Day ?

Only with people I already know and with whom I am comfortable. There are people I would rather not hug, even though I consider myself a loving person (people with poor hygiene, creeps who just want an excuse to feel me up, etc).
