that's a wonderful idea!
to just be able to live life to it's fullest and to live life for pure love of self and others. it's sad that life is not like that nor will it be...but i think that the idea of that sounds beautiful !!

It would be great, but would it really work? I am not to sure bout it, think about it.... If the world was free everything! that means that the world would more then likely be 90% empty for the simple fact that it seems as though there are me greedy, money hungry, and power hungry people then there is good.
now if u had a solution on how it would be done i would be able to give u an answer on if it would be a good idea or a bad idea.
If it was that we were raised that way where we never knew any money and new bout power and greed, then yes it could work.
Now if it was something we would have to be taught now i think it would NEVER work.

That's essentially communism. Conceptually it's an outstanding idea, but the drawbacks in practice thus far have been two-fold:
1. Some people just go along for the free ride and take advantage of everything that's free and don't do anything to advance the human condition -- the thought is there's no incentive to innovate if everything is provided to you. The analogy would be the 25 year old who lives in their parents basement because their parent provides for them -- they have no incentive to add value since everything is given to them. Probably not a perfect analogy, but hopefully you get my point.
2. The leaders that have administered this system have been corrupt and have used their power to make things better for themselves so they weren't equal with everyone else.
In an altruistic world, the society you describe would be the perfect state. Unfortunately we as people are not perfect yet so the society you speak of is not attainable on a large scale.

It would be good to a point. But I would really get sick of everything being good and perfect. It would be nice to go and travel to where ever you wanted for free, but then it would lose some of its spark. Knowing you could just do whatever you wanted and not have a care in the world. Personally after a few years of that I would want to commit sucide. And I think a lot of people would go into depression.
But!!! On the bright side we never have to worry about that!!!

Sorry but to get something free someone has to provide it and even in an age of very advance technology where all labour is carried out by machine you would require technicians, programmers and decision makers. Such is the human condition that they would look on much of humanity as surplus to requirements. They would be equal (to each other) the rest would be unnecessary baggage.

This is a beautiful, utopian idea - however, it is also unrealistic. This is the type of society Karl Marx had in mind and well, we all saw how that little experiment turned out.
The nature of man is to be greedy, self-serving or (self-preserving) and so with our corruptible natures, your perfect world would be a mess within 1 week.
Additionally, with the number of insecurities roaming the earthly plane, there will always be someone who thinks they need more or need to look or act like they have something more than someone else in order to feel good about themselves so equality is another unfeasable tenet.

It's a great idea, but it would never work because it's human nature to always want more than you have, and some people would never have enough. Then there are the lazy people who wouldn't want to do their share of work. It would require people to be responsible for the one's who aren't able to work, as well as the ones who refused to work. In a perfect world, everyone would work together for the good of humankind, but we won't see that perfect world on this earth, only when we get to Heaven.

Wonderful 'idea'. But that's as far as that goes! Communism sounds much like this, must doesn't end of this way! Humans are selfish. The majority at least. Unfortunately, even those who state this is a good idea, probably do it to "seem" like they care or what not. (not all but most) - I don't think that day will ever come - unless an eternal paradise is in store after death, but not in this life time!

It sounds great but it has flaws. Mainly the free food part. Reason being, if God or a higher power did not make us to be hungry we would not have any reason to go to work to support ourselves. We would not need the cars and houses, just a beach would do!
A world without differences would be boring. I really like your idea,
sounds like heaven.

I believe that would be great. I would love to see that. I'm so sick of the i'm richer than you attitudes people have. Were all people and should respect one another. Help each other. People forgot that when the money was developed. Now its all about greed and who has more. How can i become that rich.
I would to see people go back to the good days when everyone was friendly and helped each other.
good question by the way.

in theory, it's wonderful
but in practice it would be nearly impossible to attain
humans arent perfect
i wish it was possible
but it would take so much work from the world to turn it around at this point
and the fact of the matter is most humans are too lazy and dont care enough
and too add on to people saying whats the incentive to work?
keeping the world going
but that goes back to the fact that people would take adantage of the system
but incentive to work would be the fact if no one worked you wouldnt have the free services
