ive had some problems with flash 9 myself...in my case the problem was that the sites that required flash player said that i needed to install it on my system. when i went to the adobe site to install, adobe said i already had the flash player 9 present. so i just went to their troubleshooting page and did a search 4 flash player uninstaller. once i did that and reinstalled the player it fixed the problem. I dnt kno if this is the problem that u are refering to but try to go to the touble shootings page atleast.

Isn't that Macromedia Flash 9? Did you logon as Administrator?
You don't use Flash player to view videos, you use a media player.
