Perhaps it is all of the Cd's they've sold, or the fact that they are probably the most noted band of current times. Or perhaps you've been spending too much time with your gay googles on to realize that they have been the most successful band within the past 2-3 years and there hasn't been a sign of that breaking. So if you don't like them, turn the radio off, because they are appearantly good enough that all the radio stations want to play them.
