I'm trying to lose weight, and I heard that birth control pills make you gain weight. Is that true? I'm really worried, but I need to take birth control - and soon.

Excuse me for my forgetfulness; I didn't say I want to lose A LOT of weight, just a few pounds, maybe ten-fifteen.

Worried about gaining weight? How about you get off the couch, put down the bon bons and start excercising. If you take birth control pills and gain weight, no one would want to pound away at your saggy meat curtains....so your only choice is to excercise...i hope this helps big momma!

No, it doesn't make you gain weight and if you were worried about that, just exercise a little more and eat a little less to counteract it. That happens in very few cases and is basically a scare tactic and excuse for girls who get fat. I have been on them for 11 years and never gained weight.

I never did -- I had other problems with them but not weight gain -- simple fact is if you start to gain a pound or two, just eat less. Bur for sure if you think you'll gain weight on bc pills, you ain't seen nuttin' til you get pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take the pills, honey -- apart from a tubal ligation, hysterectomy or a vasectomy, they are the best method out there....

If you are not done growing yet the pill makes your body mature. So yeah you'd gain curve weight. If you are an adult if you continue to diet and exercise the pill will not get in the way of you loosing weight.

it depends on you it didnt make my mom gain weight but you should take birth control. if your worried just work out and eat right

Yes it makes you gain weight due to the water weight. It increases your appetite so they say so speak to your gyn about which brand to put you on.............. good luck

mine never made me gain any weight in fact I lost weight on them...... ortho tri cyclen please use birth control if you don't want kids
