Dodge Man so what do i need to do? besides taking it to a mechanic ??what could be the problem can you tell me this..does the transmission need to be drop to be fix or ??

if you can shift it out of first gear when the motor is off its probably the linkage. that is what needs to be adjusted .if not then the clutch may need to be adjusted. need more info

if its a standered ther probibly nothing rong with your transmission but your clutch is probibly out and if its the cluch the trani does need to be droped

sounds like your clutch needs rebuilt
