Almost surreal...

I was babysitting my sister, you know the setup--kid's in bed, I'm alone, it's late at night....that whole deal. I'm watching TV and I see a light come on by the front of the house. My sister was sitting on the entryway rug, staring at the front door. I could only see the back of her, sitting their in her nightgown. I went to her.

"Sophie, you should be in bed." She didn't respond. "Sophie, c'mon, let's go, up to bed." She just sat, staring. I was starting to get freaked out, like she was a zombie or something. I touched her on the shoulder, and she got up and sat down on a chair in our living room and starting crying.

Now I was getting worried. "What's wrong, Soph, why are you crying?" She wouldn't answer me. Then she looked up at me, right past my shoulder, these huge dinner-plate size eyes, ready to scream. She did, and starting running around crying. She wouldn't let me hold her or anything, just sort of went into a tantrum. Now I was so freaked, I started crying and trying to calm her down (I could only think of POLTERGEIST when the little girl said "They're here!"). I called my mom, and they came home soon after. They decided she was merely sleepwalking, but I still wasn't sure. It still made me think like she was posessed. But there have been no more episodes like that since then....

not out of a movie, but my whole existance is like something out of a bad soap opera. Even my family are like the charactors in soap operas. My lifes a stage for everyone to sit and gawk at .
I have a half brother who is a dwarf ( we have different dads but the same mom), an aunt who was murdered she was like a mom to me and they havent found the killer. Not to mention all the secrets and how everyones lives revolve around my grandparents , My dad was letting a crackwhore live with him and got arrested for them stashing stolen stuff in his house and for crack. He also has brain damage from when he was in his early twentys and tried to commit suicide wrecked his car and almost died ( he has hardly any short term memory but all his long term) I havent seen my mom since I was ten, I was abused as a child. By my mothers boyfriend. I almost drown because he threw me in the river at the age of three. And if you think that I am making this up you can ask my husband, he knows all about my crazy family his IM name is a_vacant_soul_81.. I am dead serious. Sometimes I wonder if I could write a best selling novel with all the stuff that I have been through or about my crazy family. lol.

Absolutely. On January 10, 2006 we awoke to find our house on fire. My husband rushed through the house and brought my daughter and granddaughter out the front door with flames right behind them. Then we stood outside and watched the house burn down while the snow fell and blanketed the ground. Talk about surreal, that's it in a nutshell.

once, was reserving my uhaul to move to SoCa from stockton and I was walking down a side street. Van drove by and stopped ahead of me. Man got out and I got that gut feeling so I turned around and started walking the other way. While the van tried doing a three way turn on the narrow street I glanced over my shoulder (I was kinda speed walking yet lightly jogging away) I saw the man jogging towards me with a freaking crowbar bouncing behind his back. I just said out loud "oh hell no!" and took off running. I was getting over strepthroat so when I tried to yell for help some of the words wouldn't come out, but I did manage to scream some stealing me! and took off running down the street I came from. People started coming out of their houses and a nice group of gangbangers came out and scared the van and crowbar guy away. I was so out of breath I clung to a fence and my eyes blacked out. The gangbangers surrounded me and offered me water and asked if I needed a ride. Lucky the bus was approaching and I snapped my fingers to get his attention and he stopped and I just got on and collapsed in the chair. I never reported the attempted kidnapping which was stupid. I just got the hell out of stockton

At my old job a customer threatened to kill me over something I wouldn't give to him for free when we normally charged for it.

Another time,

Saw a police chase in front of my work and the criminal's car crashed in the middle of the intersection. Criminal's then ran out of the car trying to run away while shooting the cops while running on foot.

All this happened like 20 feet away from me where I was working.

If I had to write a book on my life or make a movie, the people would say its impossible for it to happen to just one person, trust me, I never encountered anyone going through things like I did and like i still am !

Oooh . . . one time at band camp. . .Just kidding . . . I had a slow motion freak accident fall once. I dislocated my ankle and I remember hearing the "pop" sounds as I was falling. When I hit the ground time resumed its regular speed and the impact that it felt like it took forever to fall hit me. Then I cried and screamed bloody murder because I thought I broke foot. (It kinda reminded me of the scene when Mel Gibson got electrocuted after slipping into a bathtub full of water in WHAT WOMEN WANT.)
